Assault for protesting against touch and Dalali at Vishwanath Temple: Young man seriously injured in eye, FIR registered against 5 at Chowk police station.

In Varanasi, a young man faced severe consequences for protesting against alleged touting in the name of "Sparsh Darshan" at the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Deepak Singh, a resident of Badi Piyari, alleged that some people, angered by his protest, assaulted him and threatened to kill him. It was also claimed that he sustained serious injuries to one eye during the assault. The Chowk police station has registered an FIR against five people in connection with the case and initiated an investigation.
