In Sultanpur, a truck ran over a patient on the highway, resulting in his death. The incident occurred when he was being dragged for 50 meters and the accident happened while returning from Lucknow after receiving treatment.

A tragic accident occurred near Lohramau on the Lucknow-Varanasi highway in Sultanpur around 2:30 pm on Tuesday. Vijay Dhingra, a 53-year-old man who had stopped with his family for breakfast, was out for a walk when he was hit by a coal-laden truck heading towards Lucknow. After being crushed under the truck's wheels, he was dragged for about 50 meters before succumbing to the accident. The deceased, identified as Vij, was a resident of Siddhanath Nagar in Varanasi district and had been undergoing treatment at PGI before returning home.
