Banks across the country are observing a nationwide strike on Friday. This strike has affected business worth ₹800 crore in Varanasi, with nearly 400 branches in the district being closed. Employees are protesting at the bank gates, demanding 5-day working days and fair PLI (Performance Linked Incentive) schemes. Additionally, around 3000 banks across Varanasi are protesting to ensure mutually agreed service conditions and other demands.
