In Kaushambi, a businessman was asked for a ransom of 900,000 rupees: threats to murder his son and daughter; the audio of the WhatsApp call has been submitted to the police.

A case has come to light in Syed Sarawan village, Charwa police station area of Kaushambi, where a businessman was allegedly asked for an extortion payment of ₹9 lakh. It is alleged that the caller threatened to kill the businessman's son and daughter if he did not pay the ransom. The family has been living in fear since the incident. Based on the victim's complaint and audio recordings of the threats, police have registered a case against an unknown person and started investigating.
