The NHAI has decided to close the old Ganga bridge in Jajmau for three months for repairs and replacement of span bearings. This will be effective from 12 noon today, Sunday. During this period, the police administration has approved route diversions for heavy vehicles and all buses, including roadways. The diversion system will remain in effect until December 13, 2026. Traffic police have designated alternative routes for heavy vehicles to different destinations.
