They were selling codeine syrup in the market by erasing the batch number. During interrogation of three people caught in Prayagraj, it was revealed that they also found 2 grinders along with 95 empty sacks.

A major revelation has emerged in the case of the recovery of a cocaine-laced cough syrup worth approximately one crore rupees in Prayagraj. It has come to light that the main accused, Ashutosh Tiwari alias Pravesh Tiwari, used to order the cocaine syrup through his firm based in Delhi. Subsequently, the batch numbers on the syrup bottles were erased using a grinder machine at his rented accommodation. After erasing the batch numbers, the bottles were filled into white sacks and supplied to medical stores.
