In Varanasi, the ancient Shriramleela of Shivpur featured a moving staging of Ahilya's liberation, Ganga Darshan, and Janakpur's resting scene on Tuesday. Lord Rama proceeds towards Janakpur with Lakshmana and Vishwamitra. On the way, Ahilya, who was cursed by touching Rama's feet, is redeemed. The staging of this episode left devotees overwhelmed with emotion. Through dialogue and acting, the artists conveyed Lord Rama's compassion and devotion to him.
