The staging of the tragedy of Tadaka Vadh: A soulful performance in Shivpur's Ramleela, depicting the episode of Rama and Lakshmana's exile.

In the 33-day-old ancient Shriramleela of Shivpur, Varanasi, a soulful staging of the Tadak Vadh Leela was performed on Monday. The events from Lord Rama and Lakshmana's exile to the destruction of demons to protect sages and hermits left the devotees overwhelmed with emotion. During the performance, the Ramlila site resonated with chants of "Jai Shri Ram". The staging depicted how Maharishi Vishwamitra took King Dasharatha along with him to the forest for Rama and Lakshmana.
