A special train will run between Varanasi and Kolkata during the festival: it will go via Ghazipur City to Kolkata, running from October to November.

In light of the increasing passenger traffic during festivals, the railway has decided to run a weekly special train on the Varanasi-Kolkata route. The train will travel from Varanasi to Kolkata via Odihara and Ghazipur City. It will operate in both directions on designated days from October to November. This is expected to provide convenience to passengers traveling to and from Ghazipur and its surrounding areas. Train number 05048 Varanasi-Kolkata will start operating from October 6th.
