International Snakebite Day organized in Varanasi: Advice to immediately go to the hospital and maintain cleanliness, use a torch.

International Snakebite Awareness Day 2026 was celebrated at the Primary Health Center Ramana in Varanasi, India. The event was organized on Friday in compliance with government directives and the orders of the Chief Medical Officer, Varanasi. The program was conducted by Dr. Shivshakti Prasad Dwivedi, In-charge Government Medical Officer and CPR expert. This year's theme is "Snakebite Survivors Rescuers: Champions For Change".
