For two months, hell has been going on in this neighborhood of Varanasi: the sewer is blocked, the handloom is closed, and people are saying that councilors and officials haven't come to visit until today.

"We have been living in this hell for the past two months. Our business has shut down, and there is overflowing sewer water in the loom. We have told the councilor many times, but he neither answers his phone nor visits our house. When we ask him to solve the problem, he says he will get it done."
