Cleaning at Manikarnika Ghat in Varanasi: Campaign after water level recedes, appeal not to immerse clothes on the banks of the Ganges

In Varanasi, a large-scale cleaning campaign was conducted at Manikarnika Ghat on Tuesday after the water level of Mother Ganga decreased. As part of this campaign, approximately 100 kilograms of clothes and garbage were removed from the riverbed. The special campaign was carried out by the Municipal Corporation under the coordination of Rajesh Shukla, Convener of Namami Gange Kashi Region and Cleanliness Brand Ambassador of the Municipal Corporation, after the floodwater receded. Its objective is to protect the river's ecosystem and aquatic life.
