In Varanasi, police stopped a march against the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) by constables, waving posters.

In Varanasi, the Samajwadi Party (SP) led by its Mahanagar President Dilip De organized a foot march at the Cantt Assembly. Former Minister of State and SP's state secretary Ribhu Srivastava was also present during this event. Program coordinator Ribhu Srivastava was leading the march with banners and pamphlets in front. The slogan "Vote चोर गद्दी छोड़" (Voters should leave their seats) was being raised throughout the march. Police stopped them near the Durgakund police station.
