Congress protest against CEC in Meerut: slogans raised including "Resign, vote thief, quit your post."

In Uttar Pradesh, the Congress party staged a statewide protest today, Monday, September 28th, against the Special Intensive Review of Voter List (SIR) and the Election Commission's functioning. The protest march was held at all district headquarters. The Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee has instructed district and city units to prepare for the event. As a result, protests were also held at the district headquarters in Meerut. A large number of Congress leaders and workers participated in the demonstrations.
