The slap controversy involving Dr. T.K. Lahiri, a renowned cardiothoracic surgeon and Padma Shri awardee from Kashi Hindu Vishwavidyalaya (BHU) in Varanasi, has taken a new turn. The Chief Minister's Office has now sought a report from the Police Commissioner regarding this matter. This action was taken based on a complaint filed on IGRS (CM Portal). The investigation report prepared by the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Protocol in the case has been sent to the Chief Minister's Office on September 30th.
