The Chief Minister has taken cognizance of the Padma Shri Prof. T.K. Lahiri case. A team of 3 members will conduct an investigation. Students from BHU have stated that there should be an impartial inquiry into the matter.

A three-member committee has been formed to investigate the allegations of assault in a ward with Padmashri Prof. T.K. Lahiri, who was a cardiothoracic surgeon at Sir Sunderlal Hospital of BHU in Varanasi. The committee includes the Chief Proctor of BHU, Director of IMS, and DCP Kashi. Taking cognizance of this entire matter, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath sent Minister Ravindra Jaiswal to the hospital. However, the university administration has not responded to any of these allegations.
