Rajesh Pandey has been appointed as the new DCP of Varuna Zone: DCP Kashi will be in additional charge of Police Lines, while Pramod Kumar has been relieved.

Varanasi Police Commissioner Mohit Agarwal made changes to the working areas of three DCPs on Monday night. Pramod Kumar, who was removed from the IPS transfer list, has been relieved of his charge and given the charge of Varuna Zone. DCP Rajesh Pandey, who was transferred from Kanpur, has been appointed as the new DCP of Varuna Zone. Rajesh Pandey has also served as ADCP Traffic in Varanasi and is well-versed with the Varuna Zone. The CP has also appointed a DCP for Kashi Zone.
