A Nepali MP raised the issue of the India-Nepal customs duty: saying that even after the temporary permit expires, it seems like a fine is being imposed, and business is being affected.
India and Nepal share not just a border, but also a deep relationship of kinship, business, and daily travel. Vikram Singh Thapa, the Member of Parliament from Kapilvastu-2 in Nepal's House of Representatives, has raised an important issue related to this relationship in Parliament. He drew the government's attention to the fine imposed on vehicles coming from India to Nepal on October 1st. After the temporary permit expires, a fine of Rs 1,200 will be levied on two-wheelers and Rs 1,000 on four-wheelers.
