In Varanasi, residents of the Birdapur ward heavily protested against Cantt MLA Saurabh Srivastava on Sunday. The locals were enraged after several streets were flooded with rainwater and roads were damaged. They called the MLA and summoned him to the spot. Meanwhile, a heated argument ensued between the ward councilor, who was called to the waterlogged area, and the local people as he tried to defend himself from the accusations. He also accused the councilor of being responsible for the waterlogging.
