In Varanasi, students surrounded the minister and peacefully protested, saying they were chased away and beaten when they demonstrated against Ayush Pathi.

During the National Ayurveda Day program on Tuesday at the Government Ayurveda College in Chaukaghat, Varanasi, Ayush students surrounded Minister of State (Independent Charge) Dr. Dayashankar Mishra 'Dayalu'. The students presented their grievances to him and demanded an increase in their stipend. They also raised the issue of the protest that took place in Lucknow. They told the minister that they were protesting peacefully when he chased them away.
