Kanpur becomes number 1 in UP on OTS: More than 5,000 people have registered, and the Municipal Corporation has received 2.18 crore (21.8 million) registrations so far.

Kanpur is at the forefront of Uttar Pradesh in terms of tax collection under the One Time Settlement (OTS) scheme implemented for defaulters of house tax, water, and sewer taxes in Varanasi. Kanpur ranks first in paying outstanding house tax dues under the OTS scheme, while Varanasi is second. So far, 5,851 defaulters have applied online to the Kanpur Municipal Corporation, out of which 1,018 have already paid their taxes. This has led to a significant improvement in the city's revenue collection.
