In Varanasi, the PWD demolished 10 houses simultaneously: the action took place between the Kachahari intersection and the Police Line, with the demolition using 7 machines.

The PWD team is demolishing 10 dilapidated houses that were coming under the Varanasi area's widening of the Police Line road, as part of the Municipal Corporation's action. During this time, a Poland machine and 6 JCBs have been carrying out the demolition work since 10 am. Several houses have been razed to the ground during this process. Some of the house owners have also filed objections, stating that they had built the houses 10 years ago, but the Municipal Corporation has now turned them into ruins.
