Varanasi police have filed an FIR against the PWD contractor for digging up the Pandeypur-Sarnath road without prior notice, causing a long traffic jam.

Krishna Kumar Saroj, the in-charge of Pahadia outpost at Lalpur-Pandeypur police station in Varanasi, has filed a case against PWD contractor Akhand Kumar Yadav. The case pertains to digging up the road in front of the Kali temple on the Pandeypur-Sarnath route without informing the authorities. This excavation caused a long traffic jam on the road that lasted throughout the day, requiring the police to work overtime to clear it. Currently, based on the outpost in-charge's complaint, the police have registered a case for causing public property damage.
