In an old land dispute, two brothers were attacked with knives: one died in Ballia, the other seriously injured; referred to BHU.

In Sonadih (Doth), a village in the Ubhaon police station area of Belthararoad, Ballia, two brothers were fatally attacked with knives on Thursday night over an old land dispute. Amresh Bahadur Singh (45), who was seriously injured in the attack, died during treatment in Mau. His brother, Manjesh Singh (35), remains in critical condition and has been referred to BHU Varanasi for better treatment. Following the incident, police have arrested five named accused.
