The case of the arrest and subsequent release of the accused identified by the family in connection with the murder of Vineet Kumar Yadav in the Lanka police station area of Varanasi has escalated. The Lanka police are also facing scrutiny for not taking action in the case. Despite allegations from the family, the Lanka Inspector is being accused of accepting money in the case of the release.
