A case has been registered at the Cholapur police station in Varanasi against a female sub-inspector (SI) and an unidentified police personnel. The case was filed based on a petition submitted by a woman in court, alleging that on the night of July 22, the then station in-charge Murdaha Sandhya Jaiswal and two constables forcibly took her son from her home without any crime. She complained about this to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) at the time.
