SIT formed in Jaunpur for cases from two police stations: ASP Rural will oversee the investigation, CO City Goldie Gupta will lead it; DIG has formed a team.

The police department is in a state of turmoil after separate FIRs were registered at the Jalalpur and Sureri police stations in Jaunpur. To ensure an impartial and speedy investigation into the cases, DIG Varanasi Range Vaibhav Krishna has formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT). The team will work under the supervision of ASP Rural Atish Kumar Singh, with CO City Goldie Gupta taking responsibility for its leadership. The SIT includes an Inspector and a Sub-Inspector as co-investigators.
