The conflict between government employees of Punjab and the state government is escalating. Under the banner of the Punjab Sharah Mulazim Manch, clerical staff have launched a front against the government to press their demands. Angered by the neglect of their demands, the employees will be on mass leave today in all government offices across Punjab and Chandigarh. In this new phase of protest, the employees are wearing black clothes and going on hunger strike in protest against the attack on Mohanjit in Chandigarh-Mohali.
