In December, the city will get its second international hockey stadium in Sector 18.

The construction of Chandigarh's new hockey stadium, which will host major hockey events, has begun. The historic hockey stadium in Sector-18 is being upgraded. Work on installing Astro turf has commenced and it is expected to be ready by December. This sports complex, spread over 5.33 acres, will be fully upgraded with modern facilities by constructing two new multi-level blocks (Block-A and Block-B) to international standards.
