Shimla police have apprehended two chit fund suppliers from Punjab and Chandigarh: a cooperative bank employee in both cases. Over 20 grams of drugs were recovered in each case.

The Shimla police have arrested two accused from Punjab and Chandigarh in connection with two separate cases that led to the supply chain of chit fund companies. In both cases, the police interrogated the accused and used backward linkages to reach those who were supplying chittas in Shimla. According to the police, one accused would take chitta from Fazilka and supply it to Mohali, while the other accused was involved in selling chittas along with his job for financial gain.
