The Punjab government made a major administrative reshuffle on Tuesday. Eight IPS and twelve PPS officers were transferred in one go. The government has transferred the SSPs of six districts - Malerkotla, Pathankot, Patiala, Mohali, Bathinda, and Mansa. Gurpreet Singh Bhullar has been appointed as the new IGP Border Range (Amritsar). Additionally, Jyoti Yadav, wife of Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains, has been removed from her position as SSP of Bathinda and transferred to Commander 82nd Battalion PAP, Chandigarh.
