In Karnal, ₹3 lakh was embezzled in the name of sending someone to Canada: The check bounced, and a case was registered against the Chandigarh visa counselor.

A case has been registered against a visa counselor from Chandigarh for allegedly taking ₹3 lakh in the name of sending a person to Canada and subsequently failing to return the money. The complainant alleges that the accused promised to send his son to Canada on a study visa, but later failed to send him abroad. The ₹2 lakh 85 thousand cheque given for the return of the money also bounced. Based on the complaint, a case has been registered at Police Station Sector 32-33, Karnal.
