Outrage over brutality towards a young man: DSP transferred, 3 Station House Officers (SPOs) sent to line duty.

Chandigarh | The National Human Rights Commission has taken cognizance of the case of assault and torture against a youth who raised his voice against drug abuse during the Chief Minister's 'Lok Milni' program in village Sheron, Sangrur district. This action was taken on the complaint of Rajya Sabha MP Tarun Chugh. According to reports, the youth was protesting at the event by waving a black flag in opposition to the growing problem of drug addiction in Punjab. It is alleged that the police detained him and subjected him to torture.
