Monsoon is sluggish in Punjab, with rain predicted in three districts: heat and humidity will increase, and the temperature will be close to normal; Bathinda recorded a high of 36.4 degrees Celsius.

The monsoon has now slowed down in Punjab and Chandigarh. Light to moderate rain is expected at some places in Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, and Rupnagar on September 8th. Partly cloudy skies are forecast for Chandigarh. The decrease in rainfall could increase heat and humidity. The maximum temperature in the state recorded an increase of 0.7 degrees Celsius, bringing it closer to normal. The highest temperature was recorded in Bathinda at 36.4 degrees Celsius.
