In Chandigarh, two individuals were defrauded out of ₹4.07 lakh through cyber fraud: one sent unauthorized access to PhonePe UPI, and the other obtained a customer care number from Google.

In Chandigarh, cyber fraudsters have targeted two different individuals and defrauded them of approximately ₹4.07 lakh. In the first case, the fraudsters gained unauthorized access to a person's PhonePe UPI facility and transferred ₹2,43,996.61 from their Canara Bank account. In the second case, a property dealer lost ₹1.63 lakh after searching for customer care numbers on Google. Three separate transactions were made from the account by 51-year-old Davinder, a resident of Nayagaon.
