In Chandigarh, 4 dismissed police officers get relief from CAT: SSP's orders were revoked, they were removed without investigation in the corruption case; criminal cases will continue.

Four Chandigarh police officers who were dismissed in corruption cases have received relief from the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT). CAT has quashed the SSP's order to dismiss all four from service. CAT found that the department had dismissed the policemen without investigation. The tribunal stated that the department failed to prove that there were circumstances at the time when a departmental inquiry was not possible.
