Preparation for building 4 underpasses in Chandigarh has begun, with a survey starting. The administrative agency will hire experts and conduct digital mapping, providing a report within a month, followed by the preparation of a Detailed Project Report (DPR).

In light of the increasing traffic at four of Chandigarh's busiest locations, preparations have begun to construct underpasses. Given the technical hurdles in building flyovers in the city, a plan has been developed to divert traffic through these underpasses. To achieve this, a survey is being conducted for all four locations first. The survey work is being assigned to an agency. The agency will conduct a topographical survey and digital mapping of these sites.
