Chandigarh will have a new bus terminal for buses from five states, with a terminus spanning 6 acres and costing between 80-100 crores.

From Manimajra in Chandigarh, not only local buses from Chandigarh-Panchkula will operate now, but also buses from five states. To avoid the need for passengers to travel up to Sector 43 ISBT, the Municipal Corporation is preparing to build a new integrated bus terminus near Housing Board Chowk on approximately 6 acres of land. The estimated cost of the project is between 80 to 100 crore rupees. The new terminus will serve as a hub for buses connecting to Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand.
