The Northern Railway has launched an investigation into the incident where a door of a goods train passing through the Hallomajra railway overbridge (ROB) in Chandigarh broke off and fell onto a car passing by on the road below. A four-member investigation team inspected the site on Monday. The team will determine the circumstances under which the door of the moving goods train's wagon broke off and how it fell onto the car. The accident resulted in the death of Preeti, a resident of Sector-35, who was in the car.
