Meeting in Chandigarh on October 6th regarding sacrilege law: A 7-member committee will consider the suggestions received from Sri Akal Takht Sahib.

The seven-member coordination committee formed by the Punjab government will meet in Chandigarh on October 6th at 12 noon to discuss the provisions of the Jagat Jot Sri Guru Granth Sahib Satkar (Amendment) Act, 2026 in detail. In a statement issued here, the Punjab government said that the coordination committee would discuss various aspects of the law in detail and consider the suggestions received from Sri Akal Takht Sahib.
