In Punjab, employees can now avail of affordable home loans with an interest rate of 7.25%, no processing fees, and a repayment period of up to 30 years.

Regular employees of the Punjab government will no longer face difficulties in building their own homes. The Punjab State Cooperative Bank Limited, Chandigarh, has launched a new initiative for regular employees of the Punjab government, as well as those working with boards, corporations, public sector undertakings, and apex cooperative institutions. A special concessional housing loan scheme has been introduced for them. Under this scheme, loans up to a maximum of 75 lakh rupees can be availed based on salary.
