The vigilance investigation into the 24x7 water supply project, which was launched in Manimajra, Chandigarh at a cost of 75 crore rupees, has been stalled for nearly a year. The project was inaugurated by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, but even after that, people have been alleging that they are not getting the expected benefits from the project. A complaint of irregularities in the project was filed by Jitendra Pal Malhotra, the state president of Chandigarh BJP, with the central government.
