Punjab employees will get loans for building houses: loan up to 7.5 million rupees, no processing fee; bank account also gets interest discounts.

Regular employees of the Punjab government will no longer face difficulties in building their own homes. The Punjab State Cooperative Bank Limited, Chandigarh, has launched a new initiative for regular employees of the Punjab government, as well as those working with boards, corporations, public sector undertakings, and apex cooperative institutions. A special concessional housing loan scheme has been introduced for them. Under this scheme, employees can avail home loans up to a maximum of 75 lakh rupees based on their salary.
