Haryana - The funeral of former minister's son today: His father wanted him to continue the political legacy and formed the first digital panchayat; he committed suicide in Punjab.

Gaganjot Sandhu (48), son of former Agriculture Minister and four-time MLA from Pehowa, Jaswinder Singh Sandhu, committed suicide in Ropar district of Punjab on Friday. He shot himself with a rifle at his farmhouse in Pakhrali village. After the postmortem, his body was brought to his ancestral village Gumthala Garh on late Friday night. His last rites will be performed today, Saturday. However, it is not yet clear why he committed suicide; police are investigating the matter.
