In the sacred Manimahesh Yatra of North India, approximately 9,000 devotees took a dip in faith today (Friday) on the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami. The Shahi Snan Muhurat for Krishna Janmashtami is from 2:26 AM to 12:14 AM on Thursday night to Friday night. Devotees arriving at Lord Shiva's abode, Manimahesh, are taking a bath in the sacred 'Dal Lake'. On this occasion, a large number of devotees have come not only from Himachal but also from Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, and Jammu.
