The permanent protest by 32 farmer unions at the Chandigarh-Mohali border, which began on September 1st, continues for the sixth day on Sunday. To support the movement, farmer leader Rakesh Tikait arrived at the protest site today. His arrival has further increased the presence of farmers in the movement. Farmer organizations will hold an important meeting today to decide whether to extend or end the sit-in after September 7th.
