An investigation by the Enforcement Directorate's (ED) Hyderabad regional office has revealed that US citizens are being targeted under the guise of fake call centers. The ED's investigation also uncovered a call center in Chandigarh, which was functioning as a control room. A total of 66 mobile phones, 13 laptops, and other digital devices have been seized from here. This action was taken under Section 17 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
