The son of a former agriculture minister has shot himself: He had gone to Chandigarh in the morning; the police are investigating as he was from his ancestral village.

Gaganjot Sandhu, the son of late Jaswinder Singh Sandhu, a former Agriculture Minister of Haryana, committed suicide on Friday. He shot himself at his farmhouse in Chandigarh. Gaganjot had gone to Chandigarh earlier today. The incident occurred after he was shot at the farmhouse. Upon receiving information, police arrived at the scene and launched an investigation into the matter. The reasons for the incident are yet to be determined. Gaganjot was a two-time sarpanch of Gumthala Garhu village in Kurukshetra.
