The ASI who brought former DIG Bhullar himself is accused by the CBI. The CBI raised questions about the security arrangements, and the judge directed the Chandigarh SSP to investigate.

A hearing was held on Thursday in the special court of the CBI regarding the bribery case involving Punjab's suspended DIG Harcharan Singh Bhullar. To bring Bhullar from Burail Jail to the court, Chandigarh Police had assigned ASI Sher Singh for duty. During the hearing, the CBI questioned this security arrangement, pointing out that Sher Singh himself is an accused in the CBI's bribery case and a trial is ongoing against him in the same court. On this, the CBI judge informed the Chandigarh SSP about the matter.
