The Punjab and Haryana High Court has sought a clear response from the Municipal Corporation regarding the mountains of garbage in Dadu Majra, Chandigarh, and the disposal of waste in the city. A division bench comprising Chief Justice Ashwani Kumar Mishra and Justice Rohit Kapoor directed Municipal Commissioner Amit Kumar to file an affidavit within a week, providing information on the city's waste processing capacity, the deadline for clearing up the accumulated garbage in Dadu Majra, and ensuring that waste is not dumped elsewhere.
